How you will create an impact

As a Technical Assistant, you will be part of a centrally managed team that provides operational and administrative support to our Underwriters. This is a key role within Talbot which ensures the Underwriting Technical Support runs professionally and smoothly.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the monitoring and updating of operational reports
  • Data entry
  • Act as the ‘data coordinator’ for allocated classes of business and ensure data quality
  • Coordinate the administrative workload for assigned underwriting teams – highlight urgent tasks and follow up with teams and/or colleagues as appropriate
  • Share best practice and cover other members of the Underwriting Technical Support team
  • Make suggestions, and help deliver improvements to processes, procedures and IT systems in relation to underwriting data entry and quality
  • Assist with and coordinate any regulatory requirements (Solvency 2, Sox, etc)
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with third party providers and brokers
  • Ensure all tasks are completed within agreed timelines and SLAs
