About the Junior Accountant jobs in London

Delighted to be supporting an established top 30 UK law firm in recruiting for a Junior Accountant to join their established Accounting team. This role will sit in a team where you will work alongside two experienced Accountants and will report directly into the Financial Controller.

The main focus of this role is to provide accounting support within the team, where duties will include:

• process and post payments and internal bank transfers;
• post general ledger journals;
• maintain the fixed asset register;
• assist in the preparation of financial management information and reports;
• prepare ledger analysis schedules to support PAYE settlement agreement filing and tax computation;
• prepare the annual other interest return;
• support various legal survey reporting;
• support the month end system close; and
• support projects within the broader finance function.

What we are looking for in candidates for london Junior Accountant jobs :

• relevant professional services experience preferred;
• will be interested in furthering their education and working towards an accounting qualification; e.g studying ACCA, CIMA, AAT
• a high level of numeracy is required together with a good understanding of financial workings;
• have meticulous attention to detail and work with accuracy;
• highly organised and be able to prioritise multiple tasks;
• proficient in Excel;
• self-motivated and proactive;
• excellent communication; and
• being a team player who supports their colleagues.
