Roles & Responsibilities
Performance Testing
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with project team to define performance testing objectives and scope
- Define, develop and implement performance Testing Strategy, Test Plan and detailed test scenarios
- Design, develop, maintain and update automated test scripts, including load/performance test scripts
- Ensure test environment has sufficient and appropriate test data to accurately reflect production data volume and data conditions
- Execute performance, load, stress, scalability and endurance test scenarios as outlined in Performance Testing Strategy/Test Plan documents
- Analyze test results to identify and report performance bottlenecks and failures to reach performance objectives
- Collaborate with project team to troubleshoot issues and improve performance
- Identify, monitor and document performance metrics and track performance results throughout product lifecycle
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements by staying up to date with current industry trends and tools/technologies
Required Knowledge Skills And Abilities
- 7+ years of experience working as a software tester in an Agile/Scrum team environment
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing and maintaining test automation scripts including API (REST), functional and end-to-end workflows
- Extensive, hands-on experience in performance testing against complex n-tier and/or microservice architectures
- Strong working knowledge of test automation standards and best practices
- Strong working knowledge of common performance testing tools, preferably JMeter and Postman
- Hands-on experience writing automated, data driven test scripts using
- C#, Javascript and/or Python, and Selenium
- Working knowledge of test automation frameworks and low maintenance, highly reusable test automation solutions
- Hands-on experience utilizing Azure services including Web Apps, Function Apps, APIM, SQL Server, Cosmos,
- and monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Profiler
- Automated/performance testing experience with
- SaaS solutions and low-code platforms such as OutSystems
- Experience creating/manipulating data to ensure performance testing objectives of complex data structure are satisfied
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into a continuous delivery solution
