Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our clients dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of UAE-based accounting experience, preferably within the e-commerce sector. The role demands strong proficiency in advanced Excel functions, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform in-depth data analysis and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
• Account Reconciliation:
• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely closing of accounts each month.
• Excel Reporting & Data Management:
• Handle large datasets, utilizing advanced Excel functions such as formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query to create detailed and insightful reports.
• Continuously improve reporting processes and automation to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
• Tax Compliance & Auditing:
• Assist with VAT returns, audits, and other statutory requirements.
• Work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and timely submission of financial statements.
• Team Leadership & Mentoring:
• Guide and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training on accounting systems, procedures, and best practices.
• Promote a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:
• 3–4 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in the e-commerce industry.
• Strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and data analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, etc.).
• Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):
• CMA (Certified Management Accountant)
• ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
• CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants)
