Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and self-driven **In-House Accountant** with expertise in **QuickBooks** to manage our internal accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have **at least 5 years of experience** in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of **UAE VAT and tax regulations**. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, seeking continuous process improvements, and collaborating across departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and tax regulations, including timely filing of VAT returns.
- Oversee cash flow management and budgeting processes.
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with management to develop and monitor key financial KPIs.
- Ensure timely closing of monthly and yearly financials.
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
- Continuously seek ways to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Qualifications:
- **Bachelor’s degree** in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum **5 years of experience** in a similar accounting role.
- **Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks** is required.
- Strong knowledge of **UAE VAT and tax regulations**.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within corporate services, business setup, or related industries.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an advantage.
