Junior Accountant - Real Estate & Construction Group

Location: Dubai (remote)

Salary: 6,000 AED per month

Our client is a rapidly growing property construction group based in Dubai with an impressive portfolio of projects across the UAE. As we continue to expand our operations, they are looking for a talented Junior Accountant to join their finance team and support our growth trajectory.

Position Overview

As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing the company P&L, processing transactions, and supporting day-to-day accounting activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with at least one year of experience to further develop their skills within a dynamic construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the group P&L
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Prepare and process supplier payments and contractor invoices
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
• Assist with payroll processing and related documentation
• Maintain fixed asset register and process depreciation entries
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Handle petty cash and expense reimbursements
• Perform basic cost accounting functions for construction projects
• File and maintain organized financial records in compliance with company policies
• Support senior accounting staff with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience (real estate/construction industry experience preferred but not mandatory)
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (experience with construction-specific accounting software is a plus)
• Familiarity with UAE VAT and Tax regulations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
