The Accountant at RIKAS Hospitality Group will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the group. The individual will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to financial planning and analysis. The role demands a high level of accuracy, a deep understanding of hospitality finance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights to the Finance Manager and executive team.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Process invoices, payments, and receipts for vendors, clients, and internal departments.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure timely payments and collections.
General Ledger Maintenance:
Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and in compliance with accounting standards.
Handle journal entries and accruals as required.
Compliance & Auditing:
Ensure compliance with local regulations, including VAT filings and other tax requirements.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Collaborate with department heads to prepare budgets and forecasts.
Track performance against the budget, identifying areas for cost savings and revenue growth.
Inventory & Cost Control:
Work closely with the operations team to monitor inventory levels and manage cost controls across various outlets.
Assist in tracking food, beverage, and operational costs, ensuring they are in line with group standards.
System Management:
Ensure accounting software is up-to-date and optimized for accurate financial tracking.
Regularly review and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations in the UAE.
Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
