As Shamal Holding continues to grow, we’re in search of a Manager - Tax. This role will be responsible for Tax compliance and advisory for Shamal, additionally, hold responsibility for supporting in the preparation of ad-hoc tax reports as and when requested.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed working schedules and reconciliations for VAT return.
• File VAT returns for Shamal entities on a timely basis and ensure compliance with related laws and regulations.
• Ensure timely registration/de-registration of new entities with tax authorities, filing voluntary disclosures, private clarifications, refunds and address related matters.
• Assist the management in assessing implications for corporate tax, advise on restructuring, if required.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing, refund and related matters for foreign entities- International taxation.
• Advice on tax planning (VAT, Corporate tax, BEPS Pillar 2) and ensure tax efficient structure is in place.
• Ensure Contracts/documentation is in place to support the tax position or avoid tax disputes/penalties.
• ESR filing and compliance, and CbCR reporting (if applicable).
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and formulate transfer pricing policies.
• Liaise with tax authorities and tax consultants and manage tax audits.
• Prepare/update operational policies and procedures for the finance department–ensure respective functions comply with these policies & procedures.
• Assisting in Corporate Tax assessment, registration, preparation of tax return, ensure timely tax payment.
• Assisting in implementation of tax technology system/tool as well as upcoming E-invoicing regime.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Must be CA or ACCA qualified.
• Post qualification experience of 7+ years (minimum of 3 years UAE Tax experience is mandatory).
• Experience in creating and leveraging information and data to provide meaningful reports which can be used to support critical decision making.
• Strong written and oral communication skills as well as presentation development skills.
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical capabilities and financial analysis skills.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office Applications.
