Accountant – 6-month contract Location: Dubai Business Unit: Shared Services

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Ensure accurate and timely general ledger bookings (accruals, provisions, staff expenses, tax provisions) for Dubai entities.
• Raise all tax invoices requested by the business, including management of the monthly billing cycle.
• Participate in month-end close activities, including group reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and record monthly cash and credit card postings for Dubai entities.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Manage supplier invoices and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Prepare payment instructions for suppliers, taxes, and inter-company transfers.
• Maintain and account for client disbursements, coordinating with business and invoicing teams.
   

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA is also desirable.
• Open to fresh graduates or those with up to 1 year of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and processes. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Fluent in English
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines.
