**Job Summary:**
We are looking for an experienced **Accounts & Finance Officer** to join our team at the head office of a supermarket chain with over 10 branches. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and auditing. You will play a critical role in analyzing the company’s financial performance and providing actionable insights to management to improve profitability.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including profitability, revenue, and expenditure performance of all branches.
- Monitor daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, tax regulations, and local laws.
- Perform internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance across all branches.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Analyze data and trends to provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Collaborate with the senior management team to implement financial strategies aimed at cost control and revenue growth.
- Manage external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with mandatory auditing experience.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, auditing standards, and financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to present financial insights to management.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in the retail/supermarket industry.
- Familiarity with UAE financial regulations and tax laws.
